COOMET (Euro-Asian Cooperation of National Metrological Institutions) was founded in 1991. The members of COOMET are the metrology institutions of the following countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cuba, Georgia, Germany, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, South Korea, Tajikistan, Turkey, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.

The core activities of COOMET focus on the following areas: measurement standards of physical quantities, legal metrology, accreditation and quality management systems, as well as information and training.

 STCMet (Scientific and Technical Committee for Metrology) is a working body of the Euro-Asian Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification (EASC). It develops proposals for the formation of a uniform scientific and technical policy and the coordination of metrological activities in the member states of the Agreement "On the Promotion of a Coordinated Policy in the Field of Standardization, Metrology and Certification", which was signed by the heads of governments of the CIS countries. STCMet carries out interstate metrological work based on the decisions of the EASC, proposals of national bodies, and recommendations of working commissions and groups.

 The IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) was established in 1957 as an independent intergovernmental organization within the United Nations system. The Agency's objective is to ensure the safe, secure, and peaceful use of nuclear technologies.
Within the framework of cooperation with the IAEA, a Secondary Standard Dosimetry Laboratory (SSDL) was established and implemented at the National Metrology Institute of Armenia. The laboratory performs verification and calibration of dosimetric equipment across various fields to ensure appropriate environmental protection and safety.

PTB (the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt) is the national metrology institute of Germany, which possesses extensive experience in providing international technical assistance. Within the framework of PTB's technical support, the National Metrology Institute of Armenia has received consultancy from PTB experts, and an exchange of experience has been carried out through a number of training courses, conferences, and seminars.
