On January 26-27, 2022, Albert Babayan, Director of the National Body for Standards and Metrology, and Hayk Zeynalyan, Advisor to the Director, paid a working visit to the Russian Federation at the invitation of the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology (Rosstandard) of the Russian Federation.

Albert Babayan, Director of the National Body for Standards and Metrology of the Republic of Armenia, Anton Shalaev, Director of the Federal Agency for Technical Regulating and Metrology of the Russian Federation, signed a memorandum of cooperation. Implementation of bilateral comparisons of standards, calibrations, joint research work to improve the types of measurements of mutual interest, development of sectors, exchange of standardization, teaching materials in the field of metrology, exchange of experience, etc.

Taking into account that the National Body of Standards and Metrology is currently working on the establishment of calibration laboratories, it was possible for the delegation to visit some laboratories in the Russian Federation, where Russian national standards are kept, to get acquainted with them and to apply their experience in the future.
