Mr. Colm McClement, an international expert on result-oriented monitoring (ROM), is on a mission in Yerevan for the EU/UNIDO Project on "Support to Quality Infrastructure in Armenia”.
Invited by the EU Delegation to Armenia, Mr. McClement’s visit is aimed at monitoring the Project's relevance, efficiency and effectiveness by focusing on implementation progress and emerging results. As part of the visit Mr. McClement met with Albert Babayan, the director of National Body for Standards and Metrology (NBSM) and Avetis Gevorgyan, the quality manager.
Mr. McClement has also met with NBSM representatives who have recently completed training in legal metrology under COOMET's auspices. NBSM representatives shared their impression on the training provided and ongoing capacity-building efforts.
To remind, “Support to Quality Infrastructure in Armenia," funded by the EU and implemented by UNIDO, aims to strengthen the capacity of the National Body of Standards and Metrology to provide sustainable and internationally recognized metrology services.
